The ERDAS ECW JPEG 2000 Plug-in for Firefox is a browser extension that enables Mozilla Firefox to display high-resolution geospatial imagery in ECW and JPEG 2000 (JP2) formats directly in the browser. Built on ERDAS’s wavelet-based technology, it streams and renders very large raster datasets efficiently, making it well suited for orthophotos, aerial imagery, and satellite scenes delivered over the web.

Compatibility note:
This plug-in relies on the legacy NPAPI architecture. For current browsers, consider HTML5/JavaScript-based viewers or web services that deliver ECW/JP2 content without plug-ins.
